Fundraiser for tribal children

|2019

Students from Maisha Studio partnered with tribal children from Ramachandrapuram and Gummidipoondi for a collaborative art workshop, where they explored acrylic painting techniques and created vibrant canvases together. As part of this initiative, the Maisha students not only taught the younger participants but also gained valuable experience in sharing their knowledge and creativity. The workshop was designed to foster a sense of belonging and proactiveness in the children of Gummidipoondi, encouraging them to take an active role in the development of their own village.

The artworks produced were later exhibited at Outside The Lines 2019, Maisha Studio's annual event, and the proceeds from the sales were donated to support an Education Centre for Tribal Children in Ramachandrapuram. This initiative beautifully combined art, teaching, and community upliftment, empowering everyone involved to contribute meaningfully to social change.
