Achieve through the arts
|2013
A dedicated initiative was launched to mentor students from corporation schools in Chennai, guiding them in the creation of meaningful paintings that showcased their creativity and unique perspectives. Over the course of a month, Aishwarya Manivannan worked closely with 16 selected students, teaching them painting techniques and helping them articulate their personal stories through visual art. This hands-on experience not only enriched their understanding of art but also fostered teamwork and collaboration among participants.
The culmination of this initiative was an art auction, where the students’ acrylic paintings were showcased to the public. Organized as part of the arts program by NalandaWay Foundation, the event aimed to raise funds for establishing art labs in government corporation schools across the country, emphasizing the importance of incorporating creative learning into the educational curriculum. Through this program, the students not only had the opportunity to express themselves artistically but also contributed to a larger movement advocating for arts education in their schools.
