Maisha Studio art.design.education proudly presented the inaugural edition of its Annual Student Art Exhibition, "OUTSIDE THE LINES," on July 15th and 16th, 2017. The event, held at the Humming Room on KNK Road, Chennai, from 10am to 7pm each day, marked the first time in the city offering a dedicated platform for young artists to showcase their talents. Visitors witnessed a vibrant display of over 75 artworks by 15 talented students, all mentored by the renowned artist, Ms. Aishwarya Manivannan.

Attendees delved into the world of mixed media paintings, acrylics, watercolors, and oils. They were mesmerized by the students' innovative creations using 3D-modeling and captivating installations. The exhibition delved into thought-provoking concepts, including self-portraits revealing inner narratives, the expressive world of mark-making and texture studies. The young artists tackled the complex issue of body-shaming, discovered the intricate relationship between dreams, memories, and fears and also delved into the wonders of biomimicry, exploring the beauty of micro and macro elements in flora. Adding to the excitement, esteemed artist, Mr. A.V Ilango, and acclaimed photographer, Sharad Haksar, graced the event, offering valuable insights and encouragement to the participating students.
