Collaboration in Color with government school children

| 2014

At a government corporation school in North Chennai, students from an international private school collaborated with local government school children to design and create vibrant wall murals. This initiative not only fostered creativity and teamwork but also transformed the often-overlooked community into a more inspiring environment for learning and growth. In a region frequently associated with negative connotations and preconceived notions, this mural project aimed to break down barriers and promote understanding among students from diverse backgrounds

The collaboration brought together 25 high school students from a private international school and 45 students from the North Chennai corporation school near Pulianthope. Through the planning and execution of the mural, language, caste, and social discrimination faded away as the students worked side by side, united by their shared goal of enhancing their school space. This collective effort not only added color to the walls but also nurtured friendships and mutual respect, enriching the experience for everyone involved.
